Independents triumph in regional awards

Darleys and Morley Hayes have triumphed in awards which recognise small independent lifestyle businesses.

The regional winners of the Muddy Stilettos Awards have been announced – and in the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire region Darleys has been named Best Restaurant, while Morley Hayes has secured the Best Hotel title.

The Dragon, at Willington, which is owned by Bespoke Inns, has also been named Best Pub.

The awards, held in partnership with Tide Banking, celebrate firms across 28 counties – and the regional winners will now be considered for the national awards, which take place in July.

This year’s awards have reached over 10 million people nationally, with over 515,000 nominations and votes being cast in 21 categories across 28 Muddy Stilettos sites.

Both Darleys and Morley Hayes said they were “thrilled” to be recognised by the awards.

Writing on Facebook, Morley Hayes added: “A huge thank you to everyone who voted for us and helped make this possible! Your support means the world to us.”
