HSG to boost eco credentials
Washroom water conservations specialists HSG has further strengthened its eco credentials by becoming the latest member of a global community that is committed to sustainability.
The Pride Park-based firm has achieved Planet Mark certification in recognition of the reductions the company has already made to its carbon footprint and its commitment and plans for future improvements.
The company will now work with Planet Mark to achieve its sustainability targets across its operations from fleet management to energy consumption and waste.
The firm’s Ureco water conservation system is installed in washrooms at hundreds of venues across the UK.
Managing director Simon Rice said: “Having helped hundreds of customers improve their environmental credentials and dramatically reduce their consumption of water by installing the Ureco system, we were keen to work with Planet Mark to improve sustainability across our operations.
“We have already made significant improvements to our carbon footprint but, like the vast majority of businesses, recognise that we too still have a long way to go.
“Being part of the global Planet Mark community will enable us to work with the organisation and other companies who share our passion to make a world of difference in a wide range of industries to share good practice and scrutinise all aspects of our business.”
