Green light secured for Swiss-style home


Matthew Montague Architects is celebrating after securing planning permission for a ‘Swiss-style’ home in Derby.
The firm has been granted permission for the demolition and replacement of an existing bungalow in Locko Road, Spondon.

The approved project will see a contemporary two-storey, four-bedroom residence built, which draws inspiration from Swiss architectural principles, renowned for their precision, simplicity, and innovative material use.
The design incorporates minimalist design with a focus on clean lines and functional spaces
The home’s features include a double-height entrance hall with concrete walls, weathered metal detailing and an open-tread concrete staircase.
Architect Paul Myers said: “This project reflects our commitment to delivering bespoke designs that harmonise with their surroundings while meeting modern living standards.”
