Firms urged to apply for growth grants

Firms are being encouraged to apply for grants from the Derby Accelerator project, which is being delivered by East Midlands Chamber.

A number of Derby businesses may be eligible for a start-up or innovation and growth grant, as well as free specialist training and consultancy, from the project.

There are grants available for firms at all stages of their journey, from Start-Up Grants of up to £2,499, Business Growth and Innovation Grants of between £2,500 and £20,000 and Business Growth & Innovation Wage Subsidy of up to £20,000.

There is also the High Street Capital Grant for high street businesses looking to fund the cost of shop and business frontage improvements and Growth vouchers, which are 100% funded and provide up to six hours of support for specialist consultancy and training.

The Derby Accelerator project, which is managed by Derby City Council, is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and is worth £1.6 million.
