Finalists revealed for 2024 Marketing Derby Food and Drink Awards
The finalists have been revealed for this year’s Marketing Derby Food and Drink Awards.
More than 4,000 nominations were received for this year’s awards, which celebrate the very best places to eat and drink in the city.
The judges have now whittled these down and decided on their shortlists. The winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony, which is set to take place at The Chocolate Factory on Monday 7 October.
The awards are made up of 11 categories, including the coveted Restaurant of the Year title.
Christopher Tebbs, inward investment executive at Marketing Derby and Food and Drinks Awards lead, said: “With over 4,000 nominations received the shortlisting committee had the tough task of creating what we think is a star-studded shortlist.
“These finalists truly demonstrate the exceptional number of establishments we have here in Derby to eat and drink at.
“The category judges now have the not-so-onerous task of visiting each establishment and deciding upon their winners.
“The winners will be announced at our glittering awards night on the 7 October, where we hope to see you all!”
Nominations were received from members of the public, business leaders and food and drink establishment owners.
Last year, to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Marketing Derby Food and Drink Awards, a special Food and Drink Guide was produced.
Due to the success of the publication, a new, updated guide will be published, featuring all the 2024 winners.
This will be distributed on the night of the awards and included with future copies of Marketing Derbys Innovate Magazine.
Once again, the awards are backed by an enviable line-up of partners.
They are The Chocolate Factory, Denby Pottery, Royal Crown Derby, Sky Recruitment, Derby College Group, Ocean King, Balls2 Marketing, Spaceman Marketing, NK Motors, the University of Derby, and Pro Technical.
Representatives from each partner will judge their category, which involves ‘mystery shopping’ at all three finalists and scoring against defined criteria.
