Driver recognised for going extra mile
An “absolutely faultless” driver at trentbarton has carried off the top prize at the bus operator’s own in-house awards.
Robert Green, who drives the firm’s Red Arrow service between Derby and Nottingham, was named Driver of the Year at the firm’s recent Really Good Service Awards.
Robert, 50, received a cup, an extra day off work every year and £1,500, which he has donated to trentbarton’s charity of the year Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance.
Robert, who has been driving trentbarton buses for 13 years, said: “There’s a lot of great drivers at trentbarton. I really enjoy my job, the best thing about it is the customers.”
The Really Good Service Awards sees trentbarton recognise staff and teams across the business.
Tom Morgan, group managing director of buses at trentbarton’s parent group Wellglade, said: “What a great celebration of the wonderful teams of people in our business. It’s an opportunity to look back at the last year and all the wonderful things we have achieved.”
