Developers recognised at property awards

Wavensmere Homes and Grainger Plc both tasted success at awards, which recognise the talent, professionalism and hard work of the region’s residential property sector.

At the awards ceremony, which took place in Birmingham, Wavensmere was named Housebuilder of the Year while Grainger was crowned Urban & City Living Developer of the Year.

Wavensmere, which also carried off the title of Deal of the Year, is the company behind Nightingale Quarter.

The scheme, which has been created on the former Derbyshire Royal Infirmary site, was shortlisted in numerous categories – as was The Condor, Grainger’s build-to-rent apartments scheme at Becketwell, which was created in partnership with St James Securities.

Also among the nominees was Matthew Montague Architects, which was shortlisted in the Architectural Practice of the Year category.
