Developer behind Becketwell up for national award

St James Securities, the developer behind Derby’s £200 million Becketwell regeneration scheme, has been shortlisted for a national industry award.

The firm has been named as a finalist in the Deal of the Year (Commercial Property) category in the Property Awards 2022, organised by Property Week.

St James Securities has been shortlisted for its work on the first phase of the Becketwell scheme, which involves building 259 build-to-rent apartments for Grainger Plc on the site of the former Debenhams store.

At the same awards, Marc Brough, of Staton Young, is up for a brace of awards.

He has been shortlisted for the Newcomer Award (Commercial Property) and Young Property Personality of the Year.

The winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony in London, which takes place on 7 June.
