Derbion opening breaks records
Derbion has reported that some customers queued for more 12 hours ahead of the opening of its latest food outlet.
According to the retail and leisure destination, fans of Popeyes UK, began queuing the day before the new outlet was due to open its revamped Food Terrace.
The US fried chicken brand officially opened the doors of its Derbion outlet last month, selling over 1,000 of its Chicken Sandwiches on its opening day.
Adam Tamsett, centre director at Derbion, said: “We’re thrilled that Popeyes UK has finally opened its doors and that opening day at Derbion achieved a record-breaking queue, with people queuing for more than 12 hours through the night to get their hands on the famed Chicken Sandwiches.”
Tom Crowley, chief executive of Popeyes UK, said: “We’re pleased that our second Midlands location launch day was such a huge success.
“It was great to see the dedication and passion from the people of Derby on our opening day, and it’s been fantastic to welcome so many chicken fans since we opened.”
