Date set for new Derbion eatery

Derbion has announced the opening date for a new restaurant, which will occupy its revamped Food Terrace.

American fried chicken restaurant Popeyes will open its doors on Saturday, 22 October.

Popeyes is renowned for its signature Chicken Sandwich, as well as favourites including Signature Louisiana Chicken, Chicken Tenders, and Popeyes Biscuit with gravy.

Derbion’s Food Terrace is currently undergoing a £2 million refurbishment to bring a fresh new look, additional seating and new brands, more of which will be announced over the coming weeks.

Adam Tamsett, centre director at Derbion, said: “The refurbishment of the Food Terrace is well underway, and we’re delighted that the first brand we announced as part of the refurbishment will be opening its doors soon, bringing a whole new atmosphere and offering for our shoppers.

“We’re excited for Popeyes to open its doors at the centre and look forward to the exciting opening day plans they have in store for our visitors.”
