The cricket season may still be in full swing, but Derbyshire County Cricket Club has already revealed plans to bring some festive cheer to its County Ground base.

The club has announced that it will be hosting Santa’s Christmas Workshop at its multi-purpose events venue.

It will offer the chance to meet Santa Claus, write a letter to him, receive a special gift, create reindeer food with Mrs Claus and more.

As part of the club’s ongoing commitment to make The County Ground one of the most accessible sporting and event venues in the country, it will be hosting dedicated SEN and Deaf Sessions.

In a statement, the club said: “Join us this festive season for an unforgettable journey into Santa’s secret North Pole workshop.

“Visitors young and old will be able to get into the Christmas spirit by stepping into a world of wonder and enchantment, where dreams come to life and holiday magic is around every corner.”
