Civil and structural engineering consultancy AJS Structural Design has invested in a new fleet of vehicles to provide essential on-site support for its operations.

The firm has added a number of new Isuzu D-Max pick-ups, which have been supplied by Derby Isuzu dealer Pentagon Group.

The vehicles will be used by AJS’s civil and structural engineers for site visits and transporting equipment needed to undertake surveys and investigations for various projects.

AJS opted for the D-Max due to its reliability and capability for accessing development sites, farms, and building sites with more challenging terrain.

Steve Sammans, managing director at AJS, said: “The sales and servicing team for our Isuzu D-Max fleet are always friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

“They are always on hand to offer specialist knowledge about our vehicles and give options whenever we need to consider the requirements of our team and the projects we are working on.”

AJS is currently diversifying its services and is in the process of setting up AJS Environmental, which will launch in April.

The new venture will include undertaking site investigation works for the construction industry, from initial desktop studies to onsite investigation and testing of materials.

The new service will utilise one of AJS’ Isuzu D-Max pick-ups and, as the business grows, it may look to expand its D-Max fleet.

Chris Gillingwater, Isuzu sales manager at Pentagon Group, said: “We have worked closely with AJS for nine years now, offering support and guidance about the Isuzu D-Max and how it can be utilised by their civil and structural engineers.

“It’s always a pleasure to work with Steve, and we look forward to hopefully do more business with AJS as they continue to grow.”
