Conference centre lifts lid of suite refurb

The Derby Conference Centre has announced the completion of a major refurbishment of its largest function space.

The newly enhanced Stephenson, Euston & Dunlop Suite includes brand-new carpeting, light fittings, updated soft furnishings and hand-carved radiator covers.

With capacity for up to 180 guests, the space can accommodate weddings, conferences, corporate functions and special events.

Since it’s unveiling at a wedding fayre last month, it has already been used for a corporate awards evening of 100 guests, an annual dinner and conferences.

General manager Richard Jones said: “The transformation of the suite is a testament to our ongoing commitment to providing a first-class event space in Derby.

“Our on-site maintenance team have done a phenomenal job in refreshing the suite, ensuring it remains both elegant and practical for all types of events.”
