Comedy club’s troops gesture

The Derby Comedy Club, hosted at the Derby Conference Centre, has announced it will be donating tickets for the remainder of its 2022 shows to members of the armed forces.

The club will make 20% of its tickets available to Tickets for Troops, so members of the armed forces and their loved ones can come and watch the acts for free.

It is donating tickets for shows which take place on 8 October, 29 October and 11 November.

Upcoming headliners include the likes of Britain’s Got Talent’s Jack Carroll, Jo Caulfield and Stefano Paolini.

Richard Jones, general manager of The Derby Conference Centre, said: “We are delighted to say ‘thank you’ to our troops with this donation of tickets.

“It’s fabulous to see all of guests enjoying themselves at our events.”
