College’s latest honour is a beauty

Derby College has been given a top honour by a leading spa resort for the high standard of its beauty training.

Ragdale Hall Spa has awarded Derby College ‘College of Excellence’ status in recognition of outstanding practice and standards in beauty training.

The award certifies that the college has high standards of training and consistently collaborates with Ragdale Hall Spa to offer students work experience and enhance employment opportunities.

Justine Walker, the college’s holistic therapies teacher, said: “Ragdale Hall has recruited learners from the college before and we are delighted to have now been awarded College of Excellence status by this prestigious employer.

“It paves the way for our students to gain valuable work experience, enhanced with a special timetable at college with different roles and flexible working times to prepare them for the world of work.”
