Students from Derby College Group have picked up a national golf title after producing a series of stunning performances.

The college’s team recently triumphed at the Association of Colleges (AOC) ICT National Team Championships, which were held at Kedleston Park Golf Club.

The team consisted of students Presley Allott, Sam Jacklin, Adam Wood, and Matt Edwards – all of whom are enrolled in a BTEC in Sports Coaching and are part of the EMGA Performance Coaching Programme.

The victory marked the second consecutive year that Derby College Group has claimed the championship title.

The team’s elite training programme is led by PGA Professional James Whatley, the head professional at Morley Hayes Golf Club.

He said: “We are incredibly proud of Presley, Sam, Adam, and Matt.

“Their dedication and hard work have truly paid off, and this victory is a testament to their talent and commitment. It’s an honour to coach such a promising group of young athletes.”
