Club recognised for spectator experience

Derbyshire County Cricket Club has won a top national award for offering the best spectator experience.

The club scooped the award at the recent 2022 ECB Business of Cricket Awards, held at Emirates Old Trafford.

The club, which was also nominated for the Best Digital Innovation and Best Digital Campaign awards, was recognised as having the best spectator experience across the domestic game in 2022.

The award is based on customer feedback and scores on a variety of areas, including communication, stewarding, food and drink and atmosphere.

Chief executive Ryan Duckett said: “This award is testament to the hard work which goes on behind the scenes by our dedicated off-field team and to those who help us bring our ground to life on a matchday.

“We constantly strive to improve our experience for all supporters and closely listen to their feedback, so to not only see our scores improve year-on-year, but to have been ranked top in the country last summer, is something the club can be immensely proud of.”
