Charity walk raises five-figure sum for hospice
More than £42,000 has been raised for Treetops Hospice from a night-time charity walk, which saw hundreds of people take part.
The Treetops Hospice Moonlight Walk recently took place in Derby city centre to raise cash for the Risley hospice, which provides end-of-life nursing care and bereavement support.
More than 350 people took part, choosing to complete either a 5k or 10k route.
Vic Rocca, Treetops relationships manager for key events, said: “The Moonlight Walk was an amazing event. The atmosphere was brilliant, and everyone had great fun.
“A huge thanks to everyone who came along and helped raise thousands of pounds for the hospice.
“The sponsorship raised means we can continue to provide all our services for free to people living with a life-limiting condition across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.”
