Charity golf day raises thousands

A charity golf day organised by the Rail Forum has raised almost £3,000.
A total of 24 teams took part in the event at Horsley Lodge Golf Club, competing for the Neil Harvey Memorial Trophy.
The winning team was Tidyco – with John Sturgeon, of East Midlands Railway, winning the prize for being nearest the pin.
The event raised £2,900 for charity partner Ethstat Ethical Stationery.

Ethstat is the first and only fully not-for-profit social enterprise co-operative delivering products and services to the corporate sector.
It uses its profits to fund community solutions to local problems, ranging from ending homelessness to supporting families with dementia.
In a statement, the Rail Forum said: “We would like to thank all participants on the day in helping to raise the fantastic amount of £2,900. A big thank you to our event partner Anderton Concrete for sponsoring the event.”
