Champions continue training firm partnership

Training firm Mitre Group is celebrating after being chosen by Manchester City as its safety training partner for a further two years.

The European champions have renewed its contract with the firm, which will see it continue to deliver spectator safety training to its staff who work at the Etihad Stadium.

Mitre has help qualify more than 1,000 stewards at Manchester City since it started working with the club.

The firm has been providing spectator training to a range of sporting, security and events organisations for well over a decade.

In a statement, the firm said: “While we have delivered spectator safety qualifications to a high volume of stewards, our focus has always been on delivering a high-quality service, which focusses on providing additional support to stewards to ensure they feel both competent and confident to deliver the best standard of crowd safety on match day.

“We look forward to continuing our work with Manchester City Football Club, helping them to maintain their high quality spectator safety team.”
