Care home sale paves way for revamp

A former care home is set to get a new lease of life following its sale by BB&J Commercial.

A care home operator has snapped up Kidsley Grange, at Smalley, near Ilkeston, with a view to turning it into a state-of-the-art 30-bed care home.

Oscar Heap, agency surveyor at BB&J, said: “Following an immensely successful marketing period where we had in excess of 20 interested parties view the premises, we took the decision to go to best bids.

“There were 14 offers put forward, with the eventual purchaser being the standout party. In total we received ten offers in excess of the guide price from a variety of different users.

“The purchaser has big plans for the site, and I look forward to seeing the property transformed into a brand new specialist care site.”
