Businesswoman joins charity’s board

The founder of Ask the Chameleon has joined the board of a charity backed by entrepreneurs from across the region.

Rachel Hayward, managing director of the procurement consultancy, has become a board member at The Star Trust, a charity backed by entrepreneurs and business leaders who are committed to supporting communities across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Rutland.

Over the past decade, it has organised fund raising events and donated £852,642 to 114 charities – benefiting more than 71,000 people across the East Midlands.

Among its patrons is Kavita Oberoi OBE, founder of Oberoi Business Hub and Oberoi Consulting.

Rachel said: “I’m looking forward to bringing my experience in bid writing and the SME and voluntary sectors to The Star Trust and ensuring the money raised and donated through the charity goes to the organisations in most need and who provide maximum benefits to some of the most vulnerable people in our local communities.”
