A business support agency has relocated its headquarters to an office complex, which was created with the help of the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership.

Erewash Partnership has moved from Long Eaton to Toll Bar House, a new 27-office complex in Ilkeston, which it manages on behalf of Erewash Borough Council.

The authority invested £425,000 in refurbishing and breathing new life into the building, which was matched by the D2N2 LEP, along with £126,000 from a government scheme aimed at helping local authorities with projects designed to improve energy efficiency, reduce carbon output and lower energy.

The partnership has also announced that Richard Ledger has taken over the role of chair from Bev Crighton.

Bev, who became the partnership’s first female chair in 2020, steering the organisation through the Covid pandemic, is a senior lecturer at the University of Derby and employability lead at Derby County Community Trust.

She said: “I have enjoyed my time as chair of the partnership and am excited to now take on the role of vice-chair.

“Richard and I have always worked closely to ensure that we divided the work of chair and vice-chair to play to our skills for the benefit of the partnership.

“During the Covid lockdowns and the difficult last two years we have jointly used our expertise to support the team.”
