Broadband provider pitches in at rugby club
Gigabit Networks has announced its second sporting sponsorship of the season.
After entering into a sponsorship deal earlier this year with Derbyshire County Cricket Club, the Derby-based firm has now agreed to be a sponsor of Derby Rugby Football Club.
The deal will see a billboard advertising the firm taking pride of place beside the pitch at its ground in Haslam’s Lane.
Rugby club members will also receive exclusive offers on full-fibre home broadband, providing they live in the areas of the city that Gigabit currently serves.
For every order placed, Gigabit Networks will make a contribution to club funds.
Since its launch in Derby last year, Gigabit Networks has been working alongside CityFibre, the UK’s second largest full fibre digital infrastructure provider, to develop more than 280 Gigabit cities and towns across the UK.
Dan Ilett, co-founder of Gigabit Networks, said: “We have been focusing our efforts on building long-standing partnerships with organisations and businesses that share the same passion for community development as we do so we’re very pleased to be sponsoring Derby City Rugby Club.”
