Bondholders thanked for backing fundraising initiative

A fundraising initiative which aims to boost local charities has thanked Marketing Derby Bondholders for pledging their support.
Back in June, at a Marketing Derby event, Bondholders learned more about The Star Trust from Kavita Oberoi OBE, founder and managing director of Oberoi Business Hub, who is one of its patrons.

Since then, a number of Bondholders have signed up to a monthly pledge scheme as part of a ‘Derbyshire Initiative’.
They pledge a monthly amount from £50 upwards, which is then ring-fenced and donated to charities from the county who apply for much-needed funding to improve the lives of people in their local communities.
Bondholders who are backing The Star Trust, include Ask the Chameleon, Cosy Direct, Q Branch Consulting, Worcester Lloyd, Midland Lead and Ascentant.
In addition to its monthly pledge, WDS has pledged to donate an additional £50 for every phone system and printer/scanner sold.
So far, the Derbyshire Initiative has raised £2,600, all of which has been directed to local charities.
Organisations who have been helped so far include the me&dee charity, which was awarded money to create a new space for volunteers to assemble bespoke care packages for families facing life-changing diagnoses.
Headway Derby has also been awarded cash to help it increase accessibility to its peer support groups.
Kavita said: “The Derbyshire Initiative has shown the incredible impact we can have when businesses and communities come together.
“Through collaboration and generosity, we are not only raising vital funds but also transforming local lives.
“This is just the beginning, and we are hopeful that more businesses will come on board in the future.”
