Bondholders set to take to the floor for worthy causes
A number of Marketing Derby Bondholders will be showing off their ballroom skills when they take part in a dancing event in aid of a number of worthy causes.
The High Sheriff of Derbyshire’s Fundraising Unstrictly Dance Spectacular, sponsored by Cosy Direct and supported by Foundation Derbyshire, is set to take place at Derbyshire County Cricket Club on Friday 15 March.
Organised by Theresa Peltier, Derbyshire’s High Sheriff, the event promises an evening of good food and dazzling dancing.
The show, which will be compered by Jonathan Leach, director at Indigo Drum, will feature dancers from local businesses and charities, along with community influencers, who have been paired with professional partners.
Among the Bondholders taking part will be Mike Copestake, co-owner of Great Northern Classics, Matt Crawford, trust leader at The Embark Federation, Lesley Gladwell, chief executive of Rebuild East Midlands, Andrew Allsop, managing director at Morley Hayes, Dave Hook, managing director at Cosy Direct and Sammy Rosser, a student at Derby College Group.
And the High Sheriff herself, who is a former dance teacher, will also be performing as part of a group dance.
The event, which includes the option of a two-course meal, is the main fundraising event for the High Sheriff of Derbyshire and it is hoped that £20,000 will be raised from the spectacular, which will be distributed among a wide range of worthy causes.
These include YMCA Derbyshire, The Royal School for the Deaf, Friends of Foston Hall, The Hadhari Project and other charitable groups across Derbyshire.
