Several Marketing Derby Bondholders have been shortlisted for the annual Enterprising Women Awards, which are organised by East Midlands Chamber.

From rising stars to established leaders, the awards recognise the best of the region’s female business talent.

Now, the finalists across 10 categories have been announced, with the winners crowned at a gala dinner to be held in Leicester on 6 October.

Longstanding categories are up for grabs, such as Small Business of the Year, Female Employee of the Year, Apprentice of the Year, and the headline award Business Woman of the Year, as well as the refreshed She Who Innovates Award for those working in STEM-related industries.

A host of Bondholders will be vying for the Apprentice of the Year title with Alice Lees, of Rolls-Royce,  Florence Comasky, of EMA Training, Lucy Coope, of trentbarton, Lucy Hilton, Cosy Direct and Sophie Shapcott, of Smith Partnership all shortlisted.

Ruby Birks, of Purpose Media, is nominated for two awards – Rising Star and She Who Innovates.

Rotheras Solicitors is also shortlisted for two awards – the Social Commitment Award, alongside Cosy Direct, and Team of the Year.

And trentbarton’s Cherryl Holland is up for Female Employee of the Year.

Finally, themed attraction designer Katapult is shortlisted for Small Business of the Year.

Enterprising Women co-chair Jean Mountain said: “We’ve received another cohort of outstanding applications from women working across the region, and the shortlist features some truly inspiring achievements and stories.

“It’s fantastic to see women in business across a wide range of sectors and backgrounds recognised through the programme, as well as those across different parts of their career journey – from those just starting out in apprenticeship roles to highly successful business leaders representing everything that is great about our region.”
