Bondholder success at dealmaker awards

A number of Marketing Derby Bondholders triumphed at awards that recognise firms involved in key deals across the Midlands.

At the recently held Midlands Dealmaker Awards, organised by Insider, HSBC UK was named Bank of the Year, while Freeths’ Lee Clifford was named Corporate Lawyer of the Year.

Freeths was also part of a team, which included Mazars and Dains, who won the SME Deal of the Year for their work on United Tooling Solutions’ £11 million triple acquisition of Mettex, Nuts & Bolts and Fast Fix.

The awards, which took place at The Hilton Metropole Hotel, in Birmingham, and compered by Rick Edwards, celebrated the major transactions in the region and the teams that made them happen.

Insider editor Kurt Jacobs said: “This was a landmark year for dealmakers.

“We had a record number of nominations – nearly 1,000 individual suggestions from leaders in the deal-making community as to who should win.”
