BID announces trio of summer events
The Cathedral Quarter Business Improvement District has announced a trio of fun events, which are set to take place in the city centre this summer.
On Saturday 29 June, it will host Celebrate Sadler Gate, a popular day-long street party, which celebrates the history of Sadler Gate and shines a spotlight on the city’s best independent businesses.
Featuring live music, dance performances and unique street entertainment, the same event last year attracted hundreds of people.
Saturday 20 July sees the return of A Jurassic Day Out in Cathedral Quarter, which features dinosaurs and related activities in the Market Place.
Finally, the Cathedral Quarter Street Circus will roll up to the city centre on Saturday 10 August, featuring a huge variety of street entertainment.
Brad Worley, BID manager for Cathedral Quarter, said: “It is our pleasure to bring these events to Derby this summer.
“The BID team works extremely hard to organise a brilliant programme of free events and we really encourage everyone to put these dates in their diary.”
