BEAR set to launch new Ashbourne outlet

Independent coffee house, kitchen, and bar brand BEAR has announced an opening date for its latest outlet.

The firm has revealed that BEAR Ashbourne will open its doors on Thursday 5 October.

Situated in St John Street, the outlet is located inside the iconic former Bennett’s department store, which has been refitted while preserving historical architectural features.

Networking events are also being planned as well as business support workshops covering finance, marketing and strategy.

The new site boasts striking high ceilings, original exposed brickwork, and a plethora of historic architectural features.

BEAR Ashbourne will be the firm’s sixth outlet – and marks the latest chapter in its expansion.

Emma Lomas, manager of the new venue, said: “There’s been a lot of work happening in the background to get our new store ready, and we’re beside ourselves with excitement to finally be announcing our official opening date.

“We have been onsite during the past few weeks doing lots of training and store prep.”

BEAR Ashbourne will serve as a versatile coffee house, kitchen, and bar, where people can enjoy coffee and fresh brunch options, or mega burgers and funky cocktails.

BEAR will also introduce its latest concept, ‘Later at BEAR’, every Friday and Saturday from 5pm.

Later at BEAR will bring fully-stacked smash burgers, taco trays, loaded fries, twisted cocktail classics and more.
