Artcore has started offering volunteer opportunities for students and the community to help build up their skills.

The Derby-based contemporary arts space, which celebrates creativity, diversity and cultural richness, has a wide range of volunteer opportunities available.

They include providing hands-on support for its community arts projects and workshops, exhibition invigilating, administration, digital marketing and content creation, event support and working in its shop and café.

No previous experience is necessary – all that is needed is a passion for art and a desire to make a difference in the local community.

In a statement, Artcore said: “We are always looking for enthusiastic people who share our vision and want to support artists and members of the local community.

“At Artcore, we believe art is a powerful tool that can positively change people’s lives, so we strive to make art accessible to everyone.

“As a volunteer, you will enhance your CV, build social and professional skills, and make strong connections within the arts.

“Artcore will also be able to provide future references to employers, helping you stand out from the crowd.
