Architects to take on charity challenge

A team from architects Morrison Design are preparing to take on a 22-mile walking challenge in the Peak District in aid of a mental health charity.

During the challenge, which they will take on this weekend, the team will climb 1,000 metres (the equivalent of Scafell Pike) and take in some stunning views, all in aid of the firm’s charity for the year – Derbyshire Mind.

It is expected to take the 19-strong team around 10 hours to complete.

All money raised will go towards supporting Derbyshire Mind’s vital services throughout the county.

These include its ‘Enjoying Derbyshire’ activities, which support people with mild to moderate mental health conditions, such as depression or anxiety, or are experiencing low mood or isolation.

The activities are designed to boost mood and improve mental wellbeing, reduce loneliness and isolation, and create connections between people.
