80s pop legends coming to cricket club
Derbyshire County Cricket Club has announced that legendary pop duo Tears for Fears will play The Incora County Ground next summer.
One of the most iconic bands of the 1980s, Tears for Fears have sold more than 30 million albums worldwide. Their hits include Shout, Everybody Wants to Rule the World and Mad World.
They will be supported at the gig, which takes place on Tuesday 12 July, by another 80s legend singer Alison Moyet.
The concert will round off a huge week of live music in Derby, as international superstar Michael Bublé performs live at the cricket ground on Saturday 9 July.
Chief executive Ryan Duckett said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Tears for Fears and Alison Moyet to The Incora County Ground.
“This marks another huge step forward for us as a multi-purpose events venue in the heart of Derby and scheduled just a few days after we will have hosted Michael Bublé, it promises to be a great week for music and events in the city.”
