Several Marketing Derby Bondholders have been shortlisted for awards which recognise the best property and construction firms in the region.

The finalists for the East Midlands Brick Awards 2021, organised by East Midlands Business Link, have been revealed.

The awards aim to showcase the outstanding work of those behind the changing landscape of the region.

And among the nominees are Bondholders who have been shortlisted for projects in Derby, Derbyshire and further afield.

St James Securities, the developer behind the £200 million regeneration of Becketwell, is up for two awards.

It is shortlisted in the Developer of the Year category, alongside Morgan Sindall, which is involved in the £100 million regeneration of Castleward.

St James Securities is also a finalist in the Deal of the Year category. It has been shortlisted for its part in a £37.375 million deal, which saw Grainger plc, the UK’s largest listed provider of private rental homes, agree to forward fund the first phase of Becketwell, which involves building 259 build-to-rent properties.

Joining it in the Deal of the Year category is Verdant Regeneration, a joint venture involving the owners of Ward Recycling.

Towards the end of last year, it sealed a deal for the 192-acre former Stanton Ironworks site, at Ilkeston. It has since revealed plans to create a huge logistics hub on the site called New Stanton Park.

Also shortlisted in the Deal of the Year category is housebuilder Chevin Homes. It has been named as finalist for its acquisition of the historic Milford Mills site in Derbyshire, which it bought from Clowes Developments.

Chevin has also been named as a finalist in the Residential Development of the Year category for its Chase Farm scheme.

Also securing a brace of nominations is Bowmer + Kirkland for its work on Leicester’s Space Park. It has been shortlisted in the Commercial Development of the Year and Excellence in Design categories.

Finally, commercial property firm FHP Property Consultants is up for the Most Active Agent award.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony, which is set to take place at Trent Bridge Cricket Ground, in Nottingham, on Thursday 30 September.
