Land deal paves the way for industrial unit
A land deal has paved the way for a new industrial building to be constructed in Ilkeston.
BB&J Commercial has sold the vacant 0.2-acre plot in Digby Street, which has planning consent in place for a light industrial building.
Mark Richardson, partner at BB&J Commercial, who secured the deal, said: “The market for industrial stock and development opportunities has been incredibly strong.
“I had a lot of enquires about this site, even once a sale was agreed and I could have sold it several times over.”
According to BB&J, in recent months, there has been a steady increase in the sale of land and industrial units as more businesses require space to accommodate an increase in online shopping.
Mark said: “It is encouraging for the economy in general that many businesses are continuing to be buoyant and looking for opportunities for growth.
“We are optimistic that this will continue, and we have seen several properties come to market recently and sell very quickly.”
