Mercia Image Print has appointed a new business development manager to support its sales team following an increase in orders.

Leah Asher-Gent has joined the Little Eaton firm after five years in the print industry, following a career in recruitment.

She said: “I am quite creative and artistic, so my involvement in clients’ projects proves I have a passion for print which matches with Mercia’s passion ethos.

“I love to watch a client’s business develop and suggest new and innovative ways to help market their business through print.

“I am reliable, very dedicated and like to build strong relationships with my clients so that they can lean on me and trust that I will do a great job for them.”

Her appointment comes after Mercia recently merged with The Print Design Factory (Sheffield) and follows the launch of a new bespoke packaging range.

Amanda Strong, Mercia’s company ambassador, said: “Our business has survived a very difficult year, like many businesses, so Leah will be a great asset getting out and meeting potential new customers for – especially on the packaging side.

“She is friendly, bubbly and knows the print business inside out so will be perfect for our clients.”
