Firms behind major schemes shortlisted for property awards
Marketing Derby Bondholders who are behind some of the city’s key developments have been shortlisted for a prestigious regional property awards.
They are among more than 50 finalists who have made the shortlist of the East Midlands Property Dinner, which this year celebrates its landmark 21st anniversary.
In the Property Deal of the Year category, the team behind a deal for the first phase of the Becketwell regeneration project has been shortlisted.
St James Securities, Rigby & Co and Allsop played a key part in Grainger Plc agreeing a £37.375 million deal to forward fund 259 build-to-rent apartments.
Meanwhile, Rigby & Co is also shortlisted in the Agent of the Year category, alongside FHP Property Consultants.
In the Residential Developer of the Year category, Wavensmere Homes, the developer behind the 800-home Nightingale Quarter scheme on the former Derbyshire Royal Infirmary site, is a finalist.
And Clowes Developments will be vying for the Developer of the Year title.
In the Construction Project of the Year category, Bowmer+Kirkland is named in the teams behind two shortlisted projects, Nottingham’s Unity Square and the regeneration of Beeston town centre.
In the same category, the new Test Bed 80 at Rolls-Royce is shortlisted. Among the team delivering that project is architects Maber.
Finally, law firm Nelsons has been shortlisted in the Client Advisor of the Year category.
Ian Griffin, deputy editor of Insider, which organises the event, said: “If there was evidence needed that the East Midlands property sector has bounced back – with a vengeance – then it’s in the scale and range of the shortlisted for the awards.
“There are more than 50 finalists, each of them with a quality story to tell.
“The final judging session this year was particularly challenging, with very little difference between the winning entries and other entries in some categories.”
The winners will be announced at the dinner, which will take place at the DeVere East Midlands Conference Centre on Thursday 23 September.
