New video shows Moorways taking shape
A new video has been released by Derby City Council which shows the progress being made on the new Moorways Sports Village.
The video includes the installation of two multi-storey flumes, which will form part of the water park.
Other rides will include racer slides, wave rider and England’s first wave generating wow-ball.
The sports village, which is due to open next spring, will also include a 50-metre-long pool, a gym, health and fitness studios, sauna, steam rooms, café and a soft play area.
Councillor Ross McCristal, the city council’s cabinet member for leisure, culture and tourism, said: “Like many others I’m excited to see these flumes go up.
“The project is really taking shape, delivery has been excellent, construction is on time and on budget. This facility will be fantastic for the people to enjoy and live active lifestyles.”
