Welcome aboard! Meet our latest new Bondholders
Marketing Derby has welcomed several new Bondholders in the past month.
Over the past four weeks, Baron & Grant, Nicco Restaurant and Bar, HSBC, Plant Café, MacMartin Creative, FP Training, Be Couture, The Hair Restoration Clinic and Jakt Photography, have signed up and are now enjoying all the benefits Bondholder membership can bring.
Here, as part of a new monthly feature, we profile these new members:
Baron & Grant Investment Management
Baron & Grant Investment Management is a new Derbyshire-based financial planning, advice and investment management firm.
Specialising in managing investment trust-focused portfolios, the new company is led by four men – including two who had links with Derbyshire County Cricket Club.
Chief executive Chris Grant is a former club chairman, while executive director Tom Poynton is a former player.
Together they have joined with chairman of the investment committee John Baron and chartered financial planner Mark Johnson, who heads up the financial planning and advice arm of the business, to form Baron & Grant.

Nicco Restaurant & Bar
Nicco Restaurant & Bar is a new contemporary Indian dining and cocktail bar, which is set to open in Wheelwright Way, on Pride Park.
It is being created in the former Chiquito premises, which Sanj Kumar, who is managing director of nearby NK Motors and part-owner of Lotus Indian Kitchen, at Mercia Marina, bought in March last year when the restaurant closed.
He is now investing in turning the premises into a new Indian tapas restaurant and cocktail bar, named after his son.

HSBC
HSBC’s Business Banking and Corporate Team for Derby is looking forward to working with the local community and supporting the city’s future growth.

Plant Café
Plant Café is an independent, 100% plant-based café and bar situated in Sadler Gate, in Derby’s Cathedral Quarter.
Derby man Dave Gray created the business so he could share his passion for plant-based food and drink with others – and provide them with an alternative dining experience.
A fusion of London’s style and Derby’s spirit, the venue serves seasonal menus that change fortnightly.
As well as serving delicious food and drink, Plant’s aim is to be the most environmentally friendly hospitality venue in the country.

MacMartin Creative
Run by sisters Anna Hutton and Claire MacDonald, MacMartin Creative is a full-service marketing agency, based in the heart of the Derbyshire countryside.
It offers its clients a range of services and expertise, including website design, graphic design, social media, copywriting, email marketing, SEO and paid search.
The firm, which is based at the Bartonfields Centre, at Church Broughton, has recently been named as a finalist in the Best Rural Small Business category at the Rural Business Awards.
It has received a nomination for the Midlands final – and if successful, the company will progress through to the national final.

FP Training
FP Training was founded by Fiona Porter, who has over 30 years of experience in training, coaching and mentoring, predominantly in leadership development.
Her mission is to promote mentoring as a powerful method in developing the potential of individuals, whether that is in organisations, schools, voluntary groups, charities.
She supports organisations in setting up mentoring programmes and train and supervise internal mentors.

Be Couture / The Hair Restoration Clinic
Based on Pride Park, Be Couture is the largest aesthetics training academy for both medics and non-medics in the East Midlands.
It offers a wide range of premium aesthetic treatments, skin rejuvenation, micro-needling and other beauty procedures.
Be Couture is at the cutting edge of aesthetics and has pioneered work with some of the largest training providers in the UK.
The Hair Restoration Clinic, which is housed in the same building as Be Couture, is a men's barber shop servicing workers on Pride Park and also offer specialist hair treatments for men.

JAKT Photography
Founded by commercial photographer and film-maker Simon Smith, JAKT Photography specialises in creating creative photography for commercial clients largely within the construction and engineering industries.
Simon has a broad knowledge of how creating bespoke images for clients can really help them to grow their reach, both online and in print media.
Over the past 12 months, he has developed the film side of JAKT Photography, creating marketing films for clients.
