Bondholder collaboration helps firm reach new customers
Handmade bath bomb and toiletries company Divine Box is reaching new customers thanks to collaborations with fellow Marketing Derby Bondholders.
At Christmas, Danielle Dunn, who runs the company from her home in Swadlincote, collaborated with Derby letterbox gift company Colleague Box.
She has since strengthened that link by supplying additional products for the company’s latest additions to its range.
Now, Danielle is forming partnerships with other small businesses, including fellow Bondholder Crafty You, Crafty Me.
Danielle, who employs six members of staff and has more than 200 reps selling her products across the UK, said: “One of my largest ever orders came from Colleague Box at the end of our first year in business when they placed an order for 20,000 bath bombs.
“That was the start of a brilliant working relationship with Colleague Box and it made me realise that the business community should be working together to support each other, it has real benefits for everyone involved.”
Divine Box is now supplying a Chill Pill bath bomb and bath powder for the personalised gift company’s ‘Self Care Box’, while a stress-relieving pillow spray and lavender rose bath powder is included in the ‘Hug After Loss’ bereavement box.
Danielle has also teamed up with Sarah Hodgkinson from Crafty You, Crafty Me, who has built a business out of felting kits, mosaic packs and crafting sessions.
Together they have produced a Sloth Box, which contains a sloth soap and bath bomb, a sloth crafting kit and a sloth print from Staffordshire artist Ceri Sutton, who runs FairyDust Painting and Murals.
Divine Box has also produced an elephant themed gift set, which includes elephant shaped bath bombs, soaps and wax melts, along with a hand drawn postcard from FairyDust and an elephant mug, produced by Fern’s Boutique, another Staffordshire-based business.
The collaboration is also set to benefit the World Wildlife Fund, with 20% of the sales being donated to support and protect elephant habitat, reduce poaching and address human-elephant conflict.
Danielle said: “Working with other Derbyshire businesswomen has been an absolute treat – we’ve been really supportive of each other and it’s nice for our customers too.
“In turns out sloths and elephants are incredibly popular and they’ve added a different dimension to our range. The trouble is the sloth soaps and bath bombs are too cute to use!”
