The Marketing Derby Food and Drink Awards are back!
After one of the most challenging years in living memory it is time to celebrate and recognise the heroics of our hospitality industry with the return of the Marketing Derby Food and Drink Awards.
After missing a year due to the coronavirus pandemic, the awards are back to shine a light on our brilliant food and drink businesses.
Nominations are due to open on 30th July, with the awards culminating in a glittering ceremony, hosted by Nick Britten from Another Voice, which will take place at The Chocolate Factory – home to Bustler Market – on 18th October.
Featuring 12 categories – many of them new – the awards aim to salute the very best places to eat and drink in Derby.
John Forkin, managing director of Marketing Derby, said: “We are excited to be bringing back the Marketing Derby Food and Drink Awards for 2021, which will once again celebrate the incredible hospitality sector in Derby.”
It will be the 12th time that the awards will have taken place – and there seems no better time to recognise the hospitality industry.
During the pandemic, the food and drink sector was one of the hardest hit, with many being forced to close due to lockdown.
Thankfully, in recent months, with the gradual easing of lockdown, we have been able to return to our favourite eating places and watering holes, who have all worked hard to make sure their premises are Covid-safe.
Now, is the time for us to pay tribute to those businesses – and give them the recognition they deserve.
Nominations will be invited from the public, the business community and the food and drink outlets themselves.
Once nominations close, judges will round them down to a shortlist of finalists, with the winners announced at the awards ceremony on Monday, 18th October.
