Cubo on the hunt for more locations due to ongoing success
Serviced office provider Cubo, which is owned by Staton Young, is on the hunt for more locations.
Due the success of its existing sites in Derby, Nottingham and Sheffield, the brand, which offers modern working spaces, is on the look-out for more properties.
Cubo Derby, in Victoria Street, first opened its doors in February last year.
This was followed by Cubo Nottingham in October and then Cubo Sheffield, which opened in April.
To date, the Derby site is 90% full, Nottingham at 77% and Sheffield, which only opened 10 weeks ago is already at 40% capacity.
Now, Cubo is looking for more sites due the market’s appetite for large open plan co-working spaces, hot desks and designated desks and separate floors of private offices, which suit tenants of all sizes.
Managing director Marc Brough said: “We’ve had such a huge success with launching Cubo, even at the most critical time for businesses and we are now currently seeking out new locations to carry on our expansion.”
Despite the impact the pandemic has had on many businesses, the number of tenants at Cubo has increased, with many firms having to adopt a remote working style or downsize due to loss of staff or profits.
Cubo has been able to support these businesses and offer them an option to continue to work safely.
Matt Gauler, chief executive of Alertive, a Cubo Derby office member, said: “Cubo offers us not only the space to achieve what we do but it benefits and improves how we operate as a business.
“Between Alertive and Cubo I can see a real synergy in how our businesses work.
“We both want to do the best we can to offer the best to our customers.”
