Air IT has announced it has extended its sponsorship of Derbyshire County Cricket Club for a further two years.

The IT and communications provider has signed an agreement covering the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

As part of the agreement, Air IT signage will continue to be placed throughout the club’s ground.

It will also retain the naming rights for the Air IT Elite Performance Centre, with Air IT mascots Tech Tom and iTina visible in the stands.

The Air IT Elite Performance Centre offers exclusive facilities for players, coaches and match officials. It also provides hospitality access for guests on match days.

Jimmy Drew, commercial manager at Derbyshire County Cricket Club, said: “We’re thrilled by Air IT’s decision to extend their association with the club for a further two years, which sees the continuation of their naming rights of the Air IT Elite Performance Centre.

“With the new season having just got underway, we’re grateful for the loyalty shown by Air IT and are looking forward to continuing our relationship with them, which was first formed over six years ago.”

Even though fans were unable to attend matches last year, Air IT continued its sponsorship of the club.

The Air IT Elite Performance Centre may have stood empty for the past year, but it was visible for television and streaming audiences over the summer, including England’s win against the West Indies in the women’s T20 last September.

John Whitty, chief executive of Air IT, said: “After a difficult year for sport, we are delighted to continue our sponsorship of Derbyshire County Cricket Club as part of our dedication to supporting local sport.

“There is a real sense of community at the club from which Air IT, along with many other businesses, has benefitted greatly.”

In addition to the sponsorship, Air IT will continue its membership of Derbyshire’s 1870 Business Club, which allows members of the local business community to network and establish relationships.
