Trentbarton returns services to pre-lockdown levels
Bus operator trentbarton has increased its services back to pre-lockdown levels following the reopening of schools and colleges.
The firm said it had decided to up service levels as it wanted to be there for when more and more of its customers needed to travel as lockdown restrictions are eased along the Government’s new roadmap.
Trentbarton has returned to the timetables and service frequencies it was running prior to the current national lockdown, enabling customers to adequately social distance on board and protect themselves and their community.
Managing director Jeff Counsell said: “Boosting our service levels back up will help our customers and our communities begin to return to a more normal life, whether that’s travelling for education, work or – in the near future – for shopping and leisure.
“We would like to say a huge thank you to all our customers for their support and understanding during the past 12 months.
“And I’d like to reassure them that when they do need to catch a bus, they can do so confident that our buses are Covid-secure.
“We will continue our enhanced cleaning regimes overnight and during each day – and ask our customers to continue playing their part by following our advice around travelling safely.
“Thanks also go to our wonderful drivers and our teams that support them.”
Details of the new timetables can be found on the trentbarton website www.trentbarton.co.uk/coronavirus.
