New face at Connect Derby
Connect Derby has appointed a new finance manager who has joined the managed workspace provider from the University of Derby.
Talvindar Shanker has taken up the post after two years working in the university’s finance department. Prior to that, she spent more than 17 years at Derby College.
In her new role, she will be responsible for budgeting, rent rolls, processing purchase invoices and invoicing tenants across the Connect Derby portfolio, which is made up of Friar Gate Studios, Sadler Bridge Studios, the iHub, Marble Hall, Riverside Chambers, Shot Tower and Kings Chambers.
The buildings provide SMEs, micro businesses and entrepreneurs with a high specification working environment, IT infrastructure and the business support they need to expand and grow.
Talvindar said: “The managed workspace sector is quite a diversion from my previous role in the education sector but I am really enjoying this new challenge.
“My new role is very varied and I am using the skills developed over the past two decades to bring new ideas to the team.”
