Metal and waste recycling specialist Ward Recycling is celebrating after being awarded a multi-million pound contract by Derbyshire County Council.

The deal, covering Chesterfield, north and south Derbyshire, will see the firm supply, deliver and manage approximately 1,300 skips and 100 roll-on roll-off containers annually.

The contract is for an initial two-year period, with an option to extend for a further two.

Tracy Bryan, senior commercial manager at Ward, said: “This is a great achievement by the team.

“We are very much looking forward to working with Derbyshire County Council to provide a comprehensive skip, container and waste management service.

“Our aim is always to reduce waste to landfill and by handling approximately 25 containers per week for the council, we can help them achieve their recycling goals and reduce carbon emissions, by managing multiple waste streams locally.”
