Sign-up for online Derby City Embassy
An exclusive insight into Derby’s economic recovery plan is to be given at Marketing Derby’s forthcoming Derby City Embassy.
Taking place online on Wednesday, 17 March, attendees will hear from local partners and investors.
Marketing Derby’s Embassy event normally takes place during MIPIM, a major international property investment show, held in Cannes, in the south of France.
However, due to the pandemic, a physical MIPIM event is not taking place this year.
The Embassy is a popular event for investors – and that is why Marketing Derby will be taking the event online. It will feature major investors, who will reveal why they are ploughing almost half a billion pounds into major schemes across the city.
Hosted by Marketing Derby managing director John Forkin, attendees will hear from Derby City Council’s recently appointed director of city development and growth, David Fletcher, who, along with deputy leader Councillor Matthew Holmes, will share the plan for the city’s recovery.
And during the hour-long session, which takes place from 9am to 10am, they will also hear from two key investors in Derby – Ken Ford, who is an advisor to Cale Street, which owns the Derbion shopping centre and Paul Morris, director at St James Securities, the developer behind the £200 million Becketwell regeneration scheme.
