Corolla scoops another award win
A car built by Toyota Manufacturing UK at its Burnaston plant, in Derbyshire, has scooped another industry award.
The Corolla has been named Best Lower Medium Car in the Company Car Today CCT100 Awards.
The CCT100 is Company Car Today’s definitive list of the 100 cars that can fulfil any business car requirement.
A shortlist containing the top five cars in each category is assessed across 13 key factors that make an excellent company car, including emissions, price, running costs, company car tax, practicality, desirability and the driving experience to select the CCT100 Award winners.
The fuel-efficient self-charging hybrid Corolla is increasing in popularity with business customers in the UK, having achieved an almost 30% increase in fleet/business sales in 2020, despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Stuart Ferma, general manager of Toyota and Lexus Fleet Sales, said: “The Corolla Hatchback, Touring Sports and Saloon have unquestionable appeal for business and fleet customers for whom running costs, environmental performance, safety and reliability are crucial considerations.”
