Success for DE-Carbonise scheme
A Derby City Council scheme has helped a firm of architects reduce their energy and resource bills.
Guy Taylor Associates has worked with the DE-Carbonise project to reduce carbon emissions at The Coach House, in Kedleston Road.
The Coach House was a dilapidated building which Guy Taylor, a chartered architectural firm, refurbished with a focus on making it more energy efficient while conserving the character of the building.
The Council’s DE-Carbonise project provided free impartial energy efficiency advice and a grant of £12,290 towards the cost of insulation, secondary glazing, an energy efficient boiler, and LED lighting.
The DE-Carbonise project, which can offer grants of up £20,000, is a partnership between the University of Derby, Derby City Council and Derbyshire County Council.
It is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014 to 2020.
