Clowes begins work on new business park
Clowes Developments has announced that work has started on the first phase of a new business park.
The property firm, based at Ednaston, near Ashbourne, said building work had begun on Forbes Park, at Long Eaton, which will consist of seven trade counter and warehouse units, totalling just over 28,000 sq ft of space.
Built speculatively, phase one will offer units to buy or rent from 2,734 sq ft to 5,511 sq ft, with the ability to combine units if required.
Clowes said it will be offering further phases of the development on the five-acre site with the ability to offer units up to 30,000 sq ft in size to buy or rent.
Hannah Bailey, from Clowes Developments, said: “There have been considerable changes impacting on the infrastructure in and around Long Eaton as a result of HS2.
“Many business owners will be looking to relocate, and this will be the perfect opportunity to brief our experts to design and build a facility that is exactly right for their specific requirements.
“We look forward to welcoming new business to the site on a freehold or leasehold basis.”
The units will be jointly marketed by FHP Property Consultants and NG Chartered Surveyors.
Chris Proctor, associate director at FHP, said: “This is a fantastic new scheme by Clowes Developments, which will offer high quality trade and warehousing units.
“We already have one national name under offer, which highlights the strength of this location.
“This is an excellent opportunity to buy or rent a brand-new high-quality unit on a prominent well located new trading estate that has been starved of opportunities of this nature for well over a decade now.
“We look forward to talking with both local and national occupiers on the remaining available units.”
